JCC of Greater Boston 2018

Lucite cubes and Lego tubes.

Great emphasis was place upon a building block theme for this event. As a result the center pieces resemble a stacking of the communities ideas reaching upward towards the future.

Eagle Hill 50th anniversary

2D Trees, some LED lighting and a field of dreams.

It helps when a client's logo coincides with the event theme. Bringing the outside world into a gymnasium space isn't hard, one just needs a few hundred miniature trees, plenty of flowers and some clouds trapped within a lit pendant adorned with the appropriate logo.

Pencil Pusher

This might be one of my favorite designs. Using pencils, colored pencils, and crayons as a sculptural element emphasized the "writing" theme this year. The tea lights are filled with colored pencil shavings and  mimic a floral ascetic. It took roughly 4 pencils worth of shavings per tea light, and 4 tea lights per table, for 32 tables. 256 pencils shaved later....

Museum Of Science 2018

Six designs, one night.

An ambitious event strategy for this year, we used numerous wings of the museum to seat the guests for dinner. Naturally the most interesting and difficult idea was to create specialized centerpieces for each wing, so that's what we did.

Museum Of Science 2017

Science boxes and you, an information guide.

Mostly made up of foam and translucent paper these boxes were made to resemble science and technology as a tangible item. They would cycle threw the color spectrum (using the internal LED lights) giving the impression that they were a functioning bit of tech.

!POW!

Focusing on heroes within the comunity the theme took on a comic book motif overall. The centerpieces are made entirely of foam core and were inspired by the iconic "Pow" text bubbles found in early comic books. Instead of the "Pow" text the "NHCS" logo takes it's place as the center point of the design.

From my printer to your table.

Created wholly digitally then constructed using 3d printers these centerpieces are an example of my drive to bring new materials and effects to my clients. These were made in a modular fashion so that each design could be assembled in a variety of ways. So while there was only one satellite designing, it could be assembled three different ways effectively producing three different looks.
