Big Night 2020
Big prints
2020 New Year's celebration with a tropical theme. Working with the event planner in getting the designs flushed out we settled on a large "Big Night" photo op background and a pair of sign posts.

The "Big Night" backdrop is all foam core with prints adhered to them. The surfboards were a bit tricky as I had to figure out a process to curve them, I ended up delaminating the foam to form the curve then relaminating it.

The sign posts point the way to various beaches oh which were supplied to me by the client.
JCC 2020
Seeds of growth.
"Seeds of growth" was the theme this year, so 6' tall dandelions were the obvious choice.

The stem is pvc pipe that was heated up slowly and bent around a form to create the curves.
​
The leaves are foam core and the top is an Ikea staple reconfigured to become the seed plume.
Neighborhood House Charter 2019
Strong foundations, translucent materials.
This years theme focused on the idea that a strong foundation in a child's life will lead to a stronger future for that child. The planner really liked the futuristic look that Lucite (clear acrylic) brings to an event and wanted me to create a design using it. I used a combination of Lucite and translucent 3d printed material (printed and designed in house) all lit with a multitude of LED lights to create these centerpieces.
